Adoozy Power is a proudly black-owned South African technology company on a mission to ensure people stay connected by providing convenient access to mobile power when they need it most.

Our Story

Adoozy (Pty) Ltd is a proudly black-owned South African technology company founded in 2018 with a simple mission: solving one universal modern problem. What happens when your phone runs out of power while you’re on the move?

The idea was born from observing a global shift in consumer behaviour known as the rent economy, where people increasingly prefer to access services when they need them rather than owning the product outright. Seeing how this model was transforming industries globally, the Adoozy team recognised an opportunity to bring a similar concept to mobile power in South Africa.

Despite launching during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, we used the time to refine our technology and user experience. Through a partnership with global biometric technology leader IDEMIA, we introduced Africa’s first contactless mobile power bank rental network, allowing users to securely access power through advanced fingerprint recognition.

"Safety is what concerns our users most.

Without power, you feel vulnerable."
